Subframe

Just like when you are building a home, you have to start somewhere and that is the sub frame. 1 1/2" aluminum tubing welded and secured to the foundation, i.e. the van itself. It gives the most secured and structural base you could build in these vans.

Subfloor

Once the sub framing is complete, the 1 1/2' Rockwool insulation and the hydronic heating/cooling tubing is installed. Next is the subfloor made up of 1/2" bamboo ply. It's bamboo, need we say more?

Exoskeleton

Now comes the part we at House of Kartheiser calls the exoskeleton, aka the exterior framing. Made up of 1 1/2" aluminum tubing welded and bolted to the sub framing and secured to the van shell by 3/4" x 3" aluminum tubing bent and shaped to the van interior.

Interior Framing

The finale step in the framing process is the interior framing. Consisting of 1 1/2" aluminum tube, cut, bent, and laser welded for the highest quality and durability. We do not solder our seems. You will never find wood behind our finished walls.
